6 HOURS IN LONDON

I FEEL SOMETHING SO RIGHT DOING THE WRONG THING
— One Republic

Although I love everything about London and Heathrow Terminal 5 is my favorite spot to observe British ladies sipping her tea while I am having a cup of Joe. But then again, I shouldn't be stopping over for a transit here in London. For some reasons, Air China is never my cup of tea, predictably - the flight from Beijing to London got delayed while I have a connecting flight to Stockholm via London.

The original flight schedule was perfect. I should have landed in London at 6 pm and depart to Stockholm at 8.30 pm. Now that I arrived London at 11 pm (Just 5 hours delayed) and the first flight out to Stockholm is at 7 am (+1)

With the delay, it caused me one night in London (and I was secretly happy). Air China offered me a 3-star hotel nearby the airport which didn't really convince me while I have about 7 hours to go as I have to check in at 5 am.

You know Raj, with his predictably irrational, I decided to get a 24-hour visa transit and it was done within 3 minutes.

In fact, there was a moment I was hesitating whether to "go" or "no go"? What if there is an accident? what if I couldn't make it back in time? what if? what if? and... what if?

"F that!" I purposely whispered to myself and put my all the worries on hold. I was a bit scared of going out but then again "if this is so wrong, why does it feel so right? "

You know the future is really happening when you start feeling scared

I don't know when I'll be back to London again and deep down I believe this happened for a reason. I am getting aged every minute of my life and the last thing I want is to be a depressed middle aged man. So I am taking my chance and I will not have to say what other people around me always said "In the end we regret the chances we didn't take

I took Heathrow Express, only 15 minutes and straight to the heart of London. I heard the announcement "You are arriving Paddington Station" and here are the 6 hours I spent out of that 3-star hotel. Life is fulfilled much more meaningful. On top of everything, I scare no more...
